Winter Training Registration

TABA is pleased to announce a new Winter training opportunity for all Tadpole, Mosquito and Pee Wee players in Tsawwassen.

The program is part of the new TABA Baseball Academy and our partnership with Big League Experience and offers training and development for both beginning/intermediate level players and players at a more advanced level.

See all the details on our Player Development page.

But ACT QUICKLY, this is a popular program, enrolment is very limited and spots will fill fast! Tsawwassen players will receive priority but only for the first 14 days of registration and after that we will open to all players.

Registration in Open! Early Bird Draw

Believe it or not, baseball season is around the corner and we have opened registration for the 2022 season.

This year we are offering an early bird draw for three lucky registrants to receive their registration for free! There will be one free registration drawn for Super T/Rally Cap, one for Tadpole/Mosquito and one for Pee Wee/Bantam/Midget. Deadline for the early bird draw is December 31!

Many of our divisions also have player limits and will sell out so this is another reasons to Register Early.

Keep you eyes open also for some exciting news about the new TABA Academy and baseball training opportunities to get you ready for the upcoming season.

Recent Pitching Clinics

As part of player development TABA recently held a series of pitching clinics for our Mosquito and Tadpole players led by Trevor Lishenko for the Delta Blue Jays. Below see some pictures from these successful and fun clinics. Thanks to Trevor and all who participated!

Return to Play!

After a long spring (and year!) of waiting we are excited to announce we are finally able to start back to play some baseball games!

To begin, Baseball BC advises that we are returning to Phase 2 Stage 2 which still has a number of important limits that we must respect.

Please help us follow these limits so we do not have to step back again and so we can keep on track to move forward to full play! See below and the helpful graphic from Baseball BC

Note especially the NO SPECTATORS rule.

We will update this if/when we receive any new information.

Under Phase 2 Stage 2 the following activities are permitted:

  • Team training/development (practice)
  • Live batting practice
  • in-club game play

The following actives are not permitted:

  • travel for competition
  • tournaments

Participants must maintain a physical distance of three meters from one another when not playing and active in game play.

Spectators are not permitted per the current PHO order.

Masks are required in all indoor public settings. (As defined by the current public order)

Verbal symptom screening and attendance tracking must be performed daily.

Stay home if you’re sick

Pitching Clinics!

TABA is offering some upcoming pitching clinics for 2011 and 2012 born TABA-registered players.

The clinics will be run by North Delta Blue Jays Juniors coaching staff and will be a great opportunity for young players to get a start on their pitching careers!

See the player development page for more information and registration links (FREE!). Registration is limited so act quickly if you would like to participate.

2021 Coaches Conference (updated)

BC Minor Baseball is bringing back their coaches conference for 2021, this time in a virtual format so you can view and learn from home.

In the past these conferences have offered a great opportunity to develop coaching skills for all levels and they are promising to have an even greater range of topics offered this year, with 25 different speakers.

In the conjunction with the conference BC Minor is also running an NCCP training weekend with various training clinics available. So this is a great chance to take care of, or build on, your certification.

As part of our commitment to each development TABA will cover registration for all Tsawwassen Coaches. When you register just be sure to use code: TSW2145

The virtual conference takes place March 26th, 27th and 28th and registration opens on February 26th.

Here is an updated flyer with more information and registration links: BC Coaches Conference.

And on the training weekend: NCCP Training Weekend.

TABA Alum heads to Kamloops

Congratulations to Sean Hepner, current UBC T-Bird and former Tsawwassen baseball standout for being selected to play for the new Kamloops NorthPaws.

Sean, a Point Roberts resident, played up through the Tsawwassen baseball program and went on to play for the Delta Tigers and North Delta Blue Jays. Sean’s younger brother Ryan is another TABA grad and current Jays standout.
